Faxed Results

Laboratory staff will transmit a fax report when requested, provided the individual requesting the fax is authorized to receive the report (ordering/consulting physician, police agent, etc.) and measures are taken to protect the confidentiality of the report.  If the report contains restricted test results and the individual/agency requesting the fax is not the ordering/consulting physician, the caller will be referred to the ordering physician for release of information.
